May Alqasim

I pride myself in being a composer, lyricist, producer, singer and songwriter . Since the age of eight I have been playing the piano and composing my own music as a mere hobby at the age of 13. I then became a part of an unsigned label where my skills developed to becoming part of the professional field with all the training needed. As my skills developed, I performed in many venues, composed with many reputable international and regional artists as well as been part of many mix tapes and professional albums too. The many radio, television and magazine interviews are what have added to my experiences as a young aspiring musician and have led me to where I stand today. I also had the pleasure of traveling the world in order to perform and work in different studios I can now reflect on which helped me excel further and be able to adapt to any environment. This included one memorable trip to Lebanon for the Redbull Music academy bass camp where I had the opportunity to collaborate with Dj Zinc, Yung Guru (Jay Z’s sound engineer) and many other local and international artists alike. I have had the pleasure to share the stage with many Hollywood artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Jay Z’s record label “Roc Nation”, LA Reid, Orlando Jones, Rashid Almajid and many more. I have also done many music videos inside and Outside of Bahrain (such as Romania) as well as produce big projects, compilation ,music videos and renditions such as “ Heal The World (Bahrain), featuring reputable local artists and “7amdillah” featuring Xenai which both reached higher heights within our market and much further beyond Currently I am proud to be a part of the renowned Artist Agency “Vibes” where I perform in many venues around Bahrain by popular demand. Being the islands first ever Bahraini performing and recording artist, it gives me great pleasure to continue this movement for all the years to come. 
There is a lot in store for this island and myself as I have just started my own events company too.
